JANUARY 2017

Happy New Year!

I’ve had such a lovely time holidaying in Australia and New Zealand catching some rays, catching some waves and hooking up with my friends and family.

Plus, I can now add another skill to my resumé…paddle boarding - I absolutely love it!!

One of the great things about being on holiday is that you get the chance to press pause on your life, step back and take a good look at it.

And the thing that occurred to me during my ‘navel-gazing’ is that as an actor I am given the opportunity to show people how life is for others.  As Meryl Streep (more eloquently) put it,  “An actors only job is to enter the lives of people who are different from us and let you feel what that feels like.” (Golden Globes, 2017)

This opportunity to let people feel for others, to let them have empathy for others, is such a wonderful privilege and for as long as I draw breath I will remember this and discharge this important responsibility to the best of my ability.

So, feeling refreshed and full of energy it is now time to go back to work and I can’t wait.

Lots of exciting things are in the pipeline this month so fingers crossed they all get the green light, so that I can share them with you.

In the meantime, I’ve decided that I've now reached the point in my career where I need to take the next big leap.

So, over the next few months I will be looking for an agent to represent me.

If anyone has any tips on how to choose a good agent, I would love to hear from you.  Just drop me a line on my Contacts page.

In the meantime, I hope the January blues don’t hit you too hard and that 2017 brings you all that you wish for.
