MAY 2018
Crime Lord Series is now available on Amazon Prime Video…and I am beyond excited because this means that anyone with an Amazon Prime account can now watch Crime Lord anywhere, anytime, as often as they like…seriously, how cool is that! I am so proud to be playing the role of Donna, the love interest of the main character Paul Black, played by the writer/director of the series David Wilde. You can catch my performance in Episode 2, Kill Paul but be warned, I swear…a lot!
Cannes, Baby!…yes, Cannes!!! Absolutely thrilled to share the news that DeadZone (available to watch on this link https://youtu.be/83QdkMLgI5w) was officially selected and screened at That Film Life Festival in Cannes - and to rave reviews, I’m told. Huge congratulations to Leroy Kincaid and Chloe Chudasama of Nocturnal Pictures on their continued success - I can’t wait to work with them again.
My Friend the Polish Girl…has also been successful on the festival circuit and has been selected in the Best of British strand, up for a Michael Powell Award at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival. I play the role of one of the mourners at the funeral, so it’s a small role but as Constantin Stanislavski said, “There are no small parts…”
Armchair Detectives…has also been in the spotlight this month as voting opened for this year’s TV Choice Awards and Armchair Detectives is up for Best Daytime Show. You will remember that this was the show created by Carly Brooks, produced by Tiger Aspect Productions, hosted by Susan Calman and broadcast on BBC One. I appear in Episode 11, School’s Out for Murder, playing the role of Emma Kean. Voting is open until midnight 1 June 2018, so if you loved the show and want to see it take home the award, you can vote on this link www.awards.tvchoicemagazine.co.uk
Post-production on Nocturnal…is now complete and boy is it eerie and sinister! The writer and director, Esther S Conroy has done an incredible job of telling the story of the plight of poor unfortunate Cara and I can’t wait to share it with you. For all the lucky folk of Edinburgh, Nocturnal will get it’s premiere at Filmhouse on the evening of Monday 4 June - so I look forward to seeing you all there!
BAFTA Breakthrough Brits 2018…this month I was also busy completing my own award application for the BAFTA Breakthrough Brits Award. Thanks to Crime Lord Series and Armchair Detectives I was eligible to apply for this prestigious award. My heartfelt thanks to David Wilde (writer and director of Crime Lord Series) and Miles Goodwin (producer on Armchair Detectives) for taking time out of their very busy lives to write me a reference and complete their sections of my award application. Now, it’s just a matter of keeping my fingers crossed, wish me luck!
Sending the love out to…Twitter account https://twitter.com/EngRoseBoutique for all the #FollowFridays. Their support is nothing short of fabulous!
So, on that note, have a fantastic June and remember if you want it, you’re going to have to work for it but it will be so worth it in the end!
